Anonymous asked: Why is Alex Winter your hero? I’m genuinely curious.
Well, for a couple of reasons.
1) He’s not afraid to be weird! He starred, co produced, directed, and wrote the movie Freaked, and I don’t know about you, but that’s just about one of the weirdest movies I’ve seen. He’s also done The Idiot Box which has many odd characters in it, and he even said himself that he liked playing weird or gross characters. I mean, he even played his own character’s Grandma in Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey!
2) He’s SUCH a nice guy. I met him on March 9th and 10th, and if you’ve been a follower of mine since then, you would know that early morning on March 10th, Alex himself came over to me and asked me if I was coming to see him later. On both days he said he loved my outfit (on Friday I wore an outfit like his in Freaked and he said “How about we take a picture with that awesome outfit?). On the 9th, I gave him a letter, and on the 10th, when I came and met him again, he said that he actually read the letter and really appreciated it (he had a huge smile). When celebrities are THAT nice, it’s kind of hard not to like them, am I right?
3) I absolutely love all of the movies he’s been in that I’ve seen (with the exception of Haunted Summer-I’ll prolly like it more when I’m older) and he has done SUCH a wonderful job with all of them. He really plays his parts well, but sadly doesn’t get as much love for them. But that doesn’t matter to him. He’s not egotistic like other celebrities.
4) Ever since I was young, I’ve had ideas of little video clips for my friends and I, or my brother and I to do when we’re bored. They’re always so well thought out, almost as if I can see myself with my friends or my brother acting out the video in my head with all of the props, and the music, and everything. As I’ve grown older, it’s really progressed, to the point that I’ve made stories about movies I would want to make. Alex has inspired me to become a director when I get older.
I guess you might say he’s not your average “hero” but, well, he’s my hero. He’s such a wonderful person, director, and actor, and I wish more people could see that.
